Help with Oracle Grid Control 12

Question :

My apologies for contacting you directly and contacting you in English. I have seen your website and I am wondering if you can give me some advice.

I am testing Oracle Grid Control 12 and have found that on occasion the agents for both Grid Control (that is on the local server) and the test database (on another server) are reporting “Agent is unable to communicate with the OMS. (REASON = Agent is Unreachable (REASON : Agent to OMS Communication is brokenFailure connecting to”

The issues come up randomly (days apart – but for a while always at 12:30 AM) and sometimes for the test database environment and sometimes for the OMS environment. Have you ever seen this kind of issue with Oracle Grid Control 12. I have found references for previous versions of Grid Control, with patches, but I cannot find references for this version.

   Sorry for delayed this feedback.  "Agent to OMS comm brokenFailure" looks like a stubborn bug with Enterprise Manager  。 Some Metalink Notes has reported this issue , For Example:

Bug 9276193: GC SENDS FALSE ALERTS WITH "AGENT TO OMS COMMUNICATION BROKEN" MESSAGE
Bug 13039108: RAC HOMEPAGE SHOW AGENT UNREACHABLE


As you have encountered this problem in 12GC , so this bug hasn't been really fixed in that stack 。  I would like to advise you open a New SR , although I think that the Oracle Customer Support can't help in this issue, and you should try to apply the latest 12c Cloud Control Patch.
