Hi Mr. Liu:

Our team want to apply a shutdown trigger to our prod database, in order to notice the operator whether the right instance he/she is working on.
could you offer some solutions if it is possible when the shutdown trigger fired to prompt key notices and make the shutdown operations interactive(for example, after typing in 'shutdown' command,  only after type in yes, the shutdown operation can go on) ?
Really appreciate you help and time.
       Thanks.

Thanks, I really appreciate your help. I have informed my team leader the solution we could develop a shutdown sql/ksh script, but he thinks it is not acceptable.
We have had some accidents due to unproved shutdown operations, real disasters!!!

as your described , this is not shutdown trigger.

but something like command like prompt , if prompt enabled , guy need to confirm so they can shutdown.

i think you can customize your shutdown script, so any one want to shutdown , they has to type word again
