Cluster Synchronization Service
The CSS daemon (ocssd) manages the cluster configuration by controlling which
nodes are members of the cluster and by notifying members when a node joins or leaves
the cluster.

n order to ensure cluster stability in a RAC environment, it is critical that the Oracle Cluster Synchronization Service Daemon (OCSSD) is scheduled at a regular rate, even during times of heavy system load. This document covers a mechanism to allow the elevation of system priorities of the Oracle Portable Clusterware (PCW) stack.
