PROBLEM:

The problem is that OEM Top activity screen for an instance of a cluster
database sometimes stop updating. Now this is only on the instance level. At
the cluster level it still updates.
DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS:

Data is available after the refresh interval is changed to other than "Real
Time 15 seconds".
The page does not refresh after the interval is set to 15 seconds.

We use OEM extensively to monitor our database because we have a real time
database and application that needs immediate action if something goes wrong.
So if OEM falls behind, we do not get a clear picture of the performance
issues that our clients might experience.

1) Is the problem after a reboot of the target DB?
yes
2) Does the 15 minute refresh ever work?
yes we always use it.
3) How about after restarting the agent?
If it is not refreshing, not even restarting the agent helps, only restarting
OEM.
4) Does the problem occur for all target DB's
yes, after reboot of a server.
5) What are the versions of the OMS, Agent, Target DB's that have the problem
agent 11.1.0.7, target DB 11.1.0.7 and 11.2.0.2
6) Have you enabled DEBUG trace for the OMS and Agent?
no
7) how many targets exist on the server displaying the issue?
1 db target
8) do you have lsInventory from OMS, and Agent homes?
9) Does the problem only occur for targets on Windows? how about linux or
other
